From arrival to departure, the service was thoughtful and made us feel refreshed. Since we'd driven, a team member met us in the driveway, helped with our luggage and welcomed us inside. The room smelled pleasantly luxurious, and at check-in we were offered a welcome drink. Women could choose a yukata, then we were personally shown to our room and served matcha while settling in. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the generous selection of dishes at both dinner and breakfast, made with local traditional ingredients for an authentic experience. We didn't get to try the baths, but hope to next time. Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome. We had a wonderful stay.

Seizan Yamato (Ito) offers the classic ryokan feel with a polished, well-organised setup. They handle your luggage, provide a transfer from the railway station, serve tea in your room around 3 pm, arrange private dining rooms, and make up the futons daily. The traditional meals and spa facilities are part of the experience too. It's a large, full-service place, with several onsens, lovely views and spacious shared areas. A good choice if you're after comfort, variety and a bit more structure.

The staff were lovely and paid close attention to detail. Both dinner and breakfast were really tasty, with a wide choice of dishes. We had an excellent stay.

The food was amazing, the room was lovely, and the customer service was on another level. The whole stay felt calm and present. I'll come back on my next trip to Japan. If you're a foreigner and open to trying new foods and experiences, it's well worth the trip. The staff are English friendly, and translation apps can fill in any gaps. It brings tradition and modern touches together. Looking forward to returning.

Both meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the room was very clean. Each day, staff checked with us about what time we wanted breakfast and dinner. Everyone at Seizan Yamato was friendly and helpful, and did what they could to make our stay comfortable. We celebrated my birthday there, and they kindly provided a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and helped us order a cake. Special thanks to Mr. Ikeda and Ms. Ae for making our time at Seizan Yamato unforgettable. We'll definitely return.
