White Princess

The owner was very kind, and we had a relaxing stay since meals could be served in our room. There was plenty to eat, and the spiny lobster dishes were especially tasty. Our room was generally cute, with a rose-scented air purifier as a nice touch. The open-air bath was just right for two, kept at a comfortable temperature, and available whenever we wanted. We were up on high ground, with no houses across the street, so we could leave the curtains open and look straight out at the ocean and Izu Oshima. The view from the room was amazing. I'd like to come back.

The meals were gorgeous, and everything from the appetizers to the lobster main, pasta, and dessert tasted great. The owner was so friendly and we had a lovely chat (*^_^*). The cute Pochi Hotel has an open-air hot spring on the balcony of its Western-style rooms, so you can soak while gazing outside. It's up high, with a view of the ocean and islands in the distance, apparently Oshima. I'd love to visit again☆

Even with the poor weather, the ship seemed to float in the air because the sky and horizon blended together. The claim about seeing the horizon at eye level really was true. I imagine the sea would be beautiful from the bath on a sunny day. The room’s open-air bath was satisfying, even if it wasn't on the level of a luxury ryokan. The place felt comfortable, the food was delicious, and the whole stay was fantastic. Roses seem to be the theme, from the decor to the scent. The owner was very kind and thoughtful. The road can be a little hard to find, but Google Maps got us there.

I was happy with the room, though I haven't stayed in many hotels or inns, so this may become my standard for comparison. The place seems to be classed as a guesthouse. It can be a little tricky to locate, but they gave clear directions with Google Maps. The open-air bath is roomier than it looks and easy to relax in. The food was tasty and portions were generous, maybe too much if you don't eat a lot, lol. I imagine the view changes a lot with the weather, and I'd like to see it on a sunny day.
