The sound carries quite easily through the building. Light sleepers might hear the nearby kindergartens or other guests talking and walking around. Even so, we were very comfortable and wished we could have stayed longer. Our room had more floor space than I expected, including plenty of room for our legs. It came with a TV, a chair, and a movable clothes rack that could be taken out of the room. Towels and toothbrushes were already set out in a basket on the table. Each person also gets a ¥50 token to spend on toothbrushes, earplugs, hand towels, drinks, or snacks in the common area. The instructions and facility descriptions are available in Japanese, Chinese, English, and Korean, and the owner was extremely kind and helpful. The shared kitchen is well equipped with a stove, fridge, microwave, oven, pots, and utensils. Food can be kept in the fridge using the stickers and pen provided to label it. There's also a big balcony for relaxing or hanging laundry. Washing costs ¥140 including detergent, and each dryer use costs ¥200. The toilets are separated for women and men. One bathroom is shared by both, while the other is for women only; each is attached to a changing room. Shampoo with conditioner and body soap are supplied, and there's a hairdryer in the washing area. At check-in, there's also a city accommodation tax of ¥200 per person per night.

I felt right at home and really wish I could've stayed longer. The host was welcoming and laid-back, and check-in was easy. My bunk was like its own little room, which impressed me. The shower, toilet, and sink were spotless. Laundry was only ¥100, and there's a big balcony for hanging out or drying clothes. They give you a ¥50 token for snacks, a towel, toiletries, and other things through an honesty box. The host also rented me a bike for just ¥100 an hour, so I got to experience itushima. I was so, so happy.

The owner is really friendly and helpful, and the room felt comfortable and big enough for three suitcases. Ours had a queen-size bed. Breakfast included free bread and yogurt 💕💕💕. It felt like home, and I'd stay here again next time.

There's free parking here, and the owner was really kind and welcoming to every guest. I love Tomo guest house and will definitely come back next year.
