We're staying here for a few days and it's been amazing. We booked the larger room, which has everything we need: a cozy bed, charging area, and clothing hanger. The bathroom and kitchen area are extremely clean. The cafe downstairs is delicious, and there's a video online showing how to check in.
The best coffee I had in Iwaki.
It's a great place to stop as a solo traveler. Right in the heart of the city, it has excellent amenities and a comfortable atmosphere. The lounge and shower were well maintained, reception was nice and smooth, and checking out took no paperwork.
A local brought me here. I heard the second floor is an Italian restaurant and guesthouse, with a cafe on the first floor. Inside were several big wooden desks and tables, and all the staff were women. I ordered a cafe latte and they drew a really cute picture on it. That kind of art warms your heart. There were lots of sweets by the register, including cookies and pound cakes. Sunlight streamed in from outside, making it feel like a relaxing cafe.☺️
When I'm in Iwaki, I often stop by this cafe. The food and desserts are delicious, and it's stylish and close to the station, so it's easy to meet friends there. But it's often booked for events, and it's a shame to arrive after coming all that way and find you can't get in. It'd be great if they posted event and booking information on social media, like Instagram, in advance.
