The toilet and bathing area were tiny but nice. The bed and sheets were comfortable, and the AC worked very well. I’d rate the room 4.2/5 and the hotel 4.5. Breakfast wasn’t very varied, but manageable. One thing to know about the pillows: the ones already in the room are sacks filled with some kind of balls. You have to pick up softer pillows from the first floor after checking in. Without those, the pillows are hard, so I’d give it 3.5/5; with them, 4.5/5. 😕

I was very satisfied overall, aside from the difficulty getting between floors during busy periods and the lack of restaurants around the hotel. There is an emergency staircase, but the elevator is the only way to move between floors for regular access. The free breakfast buffet had salad, tomato curry, sausages, hamburger steak, potato salad, grilled mackerel, scrambled eggs, multigrain bread, and more. The hot spring was available at night and in the morning, and warmed me right up. It was a little hot, which suited me. The room was small but clean, and the alkaline ionized tap water tasted good. Four kinds of draft beer are available at the front desk for a fee. From 5 PM to 8 PM, alcoholic drinks including Gekkeikanzuki, Iichiko, and Black Nikka Clear are free. Outside those hours, you can still take small pieces of ice from the server to your room, which has no freezer.
