Green Rich Hotel Iwakuni Ekimae Artificial Hot Spring Futamata Yunohana

I had a 17 m² Japanese twin room. It was clean and had a comfortable bed, an air purifier with a humidifier, and a window that opened a little for fresh air. Even though I booked and paid for a non-smoking room, it smelled of smoke, which is why I gave it two stars. Staff service was good. There’s coin laundry on site: the washer costs ¥400, detergent ¥30, and the dryer ¥200 per 30 minutes. Convenience stores, restaurants, and a supermarket are nearby, and the JR station is about a three-minute walk away.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the service is great. The WiFi, though, is terrible. It needs a serious update, including the internet service. I can barely write this review, let alone check email, so working from here would be difficult.

I booked through an app for my first short getaway to Iwakuni, but it didn’t offer cash payment at the hotel. I called the front desk to check and they said paying cash directly was possible. The hotel is about a three-minute walk from the station, with karaoke spots right beside it. The front desk staff don’t speak fluent English and have a Japanese accent, but that wasn’t much of an issue for me. There’s a public bath, and breakfast is served in the lobby in the morning. The room was decent and not too tiny, though the bathroom might feel cramped for someone tall or large. The walls also seemed thin, since I could hear people in the next room talking and laughing loudly. Thanks for the service ✨

I had a great four-day stay and really like this place. The location was very good, the staff were friendly, and the rooms were neat and clean. The mattress felt a bit hard to me, though. I’d highly recommend it and would come back.
