Iwamizawa Hotel 5 Jo

The room was small, and the bathroom smelled. The hotel feels a little old, but everything else was fine.

The room was spotless, and there were lots of amenities, including lotion, milky lotion, and makeup remover. The first-floor shared bath is behind the front desk and isn't very big, so I worried it could get crowded, but it didn't. The desk staff checked whether I wanted to use it and kindly opened the door. It's close to the station too, and finding food nearby was no problem. A really nice hotel.

The front desk staff are very nice, as people often say. The shared bath is small, and the men's and women's sides switch several times during the day, so check the schedule. Rooms aren't spacious, but they're comfortable. The beds sit low and aren't duvet-style, which could be awkward for older guests. There's also a puzzling bump above the outlet by the pillow, and the ceiling has white lighting. Those were the main drawbacks.

The front desk ladies were incredibly helpful during the long business stay my company arranged. The men were all nice too, except one. I skipped breakfast. The walls are pretty thin, so I could hear a child crying. It works fine for a short stay.
