Don't let the exterior fool you, it can look a little run down. Inside, both the hotel and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. I stayed two nights in a room with a private onsen and chose the grilled kaiseki package. The meal was good, and I have no regrets. Service was great, especially the senior lady who prepared and served dinner. She did her best to speak English with us.

There are three buildings connected by sheltered corridors. Guest rooms are in two of them, while the middle building holds reception and the hot springs. There's a small souvenir shop opposite reception, and a small performance at night. The renovation is a little old, but the room is very large.

The dining hall is splendid. It feels like being inside an ancient Japanese palace.

We had a western and Japanese style room with a private onsen, and loved it ❤️ We'll visit again.

The Wi-Fi is slow, and the signal keeps dropping.
