The views are the highlight here. The property sits at the end of the toll road called Izu Skyline, with lovely scenery along the drive, and Mount Fuji looks spectacular from the grounds and the baths on the 8th floor. We only stayed one night in a dog-friendly cabin away from the main building, so I can’t really comment on the rooms, restaurants, or facilities in general. Our two-floor room was comfortable and had a fridge and microwave. We’ve now stayed at four Harvest Club properties, and this one felt the oldest and least luxurious. The outside of our building needs maintenance, wind came through the windows, and the shower and bath room was very old and basic.

Up on the mountain, you can see stars and Mount Fuji right from the room. Even when it was over 35 down by the station, we didn’t need air conditioning. There’s a suspension bridge over a cliff above the Pacific Ocean, and we saw wild deer and tanoki.

It’s high up on a mountaintop, so the view is great when the weather cooperates. They have both Japanese and Western-style rooms. The staff were professional and friendly, and most could communicate in English.
