The couple who run the place were friendly and accommodating, and the food they served was fantastic. The onsen was clean and nice, and hotter than ones I’d visited recently. I wonder if that’s because it’s closer to the source. There’s plenty of free parking, but no Familymart or amenities. It’s a very clean, well-maintained traditional Japanese hostel that feels more like a family house. Don’t expect hotel services or facilities. You’re staying in a traditional Japanese home.

It was a wonderful inn, and the friendly staff helped me relax. With the window open, the insect sounds changed over time like an orchestra. Something that used to feel ordinary now moved me, and the peaceful atmosphere calmed my mind. All the food was delicious, especially the exquisite sweetfish. We finished the night with tasty soba, and got to try some of Shizuoka's finest local sake, including Kikuyoi and Garyuubai. That was the best. The hot springs warmed me right through, and I worked up a clean sweat even after leaving the bath. That felt great, and I was especially happy to sleep on tatami mats. I’m grateful for all the thoughtfulness and the lovely time. Thank you so much!

My last visit was 12 years ago, when my sons were still young. This time I could really appreciate how much they’ve grown. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, and I’d love to come back if I get the chance. Thank you very much.

The inn was quiet, clean, and a lovely, cozy place to relax. The food was simple but full of flavor, and the generous portions of simmered dishes, pickles, and grilled sweetfish were all delicious. The hot spring was charming too, with cicadas singing. It reminded me of visiting the countryside for the first time in ages, and brought back memories of summer vacations long ago. Since it was close to my room, I went in many times. Next time I’d like to come in the colder months and enjoy the open-air bath under the stars. There was also a simple, beautiful flower arrangement in the room. Thank you.
