Guest House Kominka Nagomi

I could happily spend more time in this lovely home. My only complaint is that I had just one night there. If I fly from Kansai airport again, I'd stay here and enjoy the house instead of doing anything else. The place seems to be an old town house, with a traditional living room and tatami mats. There are four traditional bedrooms, one downstairs and three upstairs, decorated with loving little details everywhere. It also has a kitchen, two showers, a children's play area, and a selection of kimono to wear around the house. Getting there is easy, about a 10-minute walk from the nearest train station. Check-in with the key box was simple, and the host was very welcoming, even though I hadn't been reachable for a few days before my stay. I loved it from the moment I walked in, and I'm surprised it's not booked up all the time.

The little drawbacks, like the low ceiling bar and the water heater being unstable, didn't cause me any real trouble. The facilities all worked well, and every room was neat. There was even a halal-labeled refrigerator and tableware storage for Muslims. Yuri-san was very kind and helpful. It's tucked into a small alley, but still in a convenient spot, not too far from a convenience store, supermarket, bus stop and train station. They also provide a really useful map for finding recommended places nearby. This was my first guest house in Japan, and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. I'll miss this place for sure. The guesthouse is in a quiet area near Kansai airport. From the nearby train station it's only a 15-minute walk, or you can take a taxi. They also offer free rental bikes, and the bikes are good quality.

After a tiring schedule, this is a comfortable, quiet and spacious place to recharge before heading to Kansai international airport. The host was very nice, and the furniture and other equipment were good and comprehensive. Highly recommend it.
