Kanku In Hotel

My friend booked this because it was near the airport, but the station is about a kilometer away. The room looked clean, though we saw one scorpion on the sheet and another on the floor. I can barely give it two stars, let alone four.

The room was clean, the heater worked great, and self check-in was easy. We had a great stay. There’s a 7-11 within walking distance, too. Highly recommend it.

It’s a spacious, quiet place in a residential area, and everything is self-service, including check-in. There’s a 7eleven beside the hotel, while the nearest station is around 900m away. It’s a good choice if you want somewhere quiet to rest. For shopping or sightseeing, I’d stay closer to the city centre since there isn’t much happening in town. There’s no washing machine for laundry, either.

Kanku In Hotel is very reasonably priced and handy for Rinku Town station and the whole amusement area. There’s a 7-11 conbini right next door, and it’s easy to get to. My room was a normal hotel room, with a clean, comfortable bed. The small bathroom was the biggest drawback. With the door shut on the toilet, my knees hit it and the toilet roll holder pressed against my leg. The shower is in a tiny bathtub and shares a tap with the sink, making it hard to control the temperature and pressure. It felt cramped and claustrophobic. I was there during a typhoon, so this might not be typical, but I used reception four times and staff were there only twice when I rang the bell. One wait was over 10 minutes. There’s a mini fridge, but it loses power when you take your key out, so it’ll be warm when you get back. It’s only useful for something you need early in the morning or in the middle of the night. As far as I could tell, the hotel has no ice, water, laundry or vending machine, or any other facilities. The conbini 30 seconds from the door helps. I do recommend it for the low price and location, but the facilities are basic and the bathroom is small.
