Lagoon Palace

The room was nice and had a very Japanese style, and the beach was just a block away. It was really quiet, and perfect for me.

I stayed three nights and four days, from January 31st to February 3rd, 2026, while the Chunichi Dragons' spring training camp was being held in Chatan Town. I’d paid in advance for a twin room for one person, and the discounted total was 16,400 yen. On the day I arrived, a hotel staff member called me and I used the automatic check-in, so I didn’t see any staff again before leaving. The room was spacious and clean, with the bathroom and toilet in separate rooms, as shown in the photo. Nankoku Seika had a factory nearby, and I bought chinsuko from the vending machine in front of the store. San-A convenience store was only a few minutes’ walk away, which was handy. I’d definitely stay again.

The sunset over the sea is stunning, and the beds are comfortable. I’d come back for a quiet place to sleep. The bathroom is small but functional, with the toilet and shower in separate areas. For a vacation, it works if all you need is somewhere to sleep. It’s not very livable without a table, chairs, or wardrobe, though there is a coat hanger. The walkway runs level with the rooms, so leaving the curtain open means people can see right in.

Every room is upstairs on the second floor, looking out across the seawall toward the sea. The location makes the price quite reasonable, though you’ll need to bring some amenities. There’s no restaurant, so supplies have to come from nearby fast food places, convenience stores, or supermarkets.
