The location wasn’t that great, but the hotel itself was nice and the staff attentive. The onsen was large and well maintained, and the rooms were quite spacious and well appointed. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, with adequate portions. Shower caps, razors, and similar room amenities are available on the ground floor near the lift. Just be aware that the rooms don’t have bathing facilities, so guests are expected to use the onsen baths.

April 2025 The double room was on the small side. The rest was quite good, especially if you enjoy a drink. It’s all-inclusive, with local ingredients and alcoholic drinks. Tea time begins at 3 PM, and depending on the timing, you might be able to have alcohol from then. The homemade cakes and other treats were tasty. It’s buffet style, but the dishes were all pretty high quality and delicious 😋. Drinks are served in the lounge during evening bar time, and alcohol is available until 11 PM. The snacks, including heshiko (fermented mackerel), were tasty too and made it easy to keep drinking.

We stayed for two nights with my parents, room only. The timing worked out so we had the bath to ourselves, and it was quiet and pleasant. We were told the water couldn’t officially be called a hot spring because it lacked some of the required components, but it was still lovely. The outdoor bath was just the right temperature, and I was happy to see how clean the bath ceiling was. Coming from the Pacific side, it felt new to see the sea to the north and mountains to the south. The red and white poles along the road were new to me too💕.
