Hotel Gate In Kagoshima

Everything I needed was already in the tidy, convenient room, and I really appreciated the free water, coffee, and snacks. The location near Temmonkan was perfect. Such a lovely stay, thank you so much!

I only booked one night, and honestly wish it had been longer. The room was carefully laid out, with all the essentials plus extra towels, charging sockets by the bed and table, charging wires, a hair dryer, flat iron, and curling iron. Mine had a tub, and they provided bath powder too. Restaurants and shopping are conveniently close. I'd stay here again next time I'm in Kagoshima.

The staff were so welcoming, and the bed was really comfortable. My suitcase was sent here and they looked after it well. The rooms also had good soundproofing between them, which is unusual compared with other hotels I've stayed at. I liked the big balcony and the full-size bath, rather than the half-size kind common in Japanese-style hotels. Thankfully, the shower and sink taps were separate, and the hot water had great pressure. Laundry machines are on two floors, with the washer costing 200 yen and the dryer 100 yen per 20 minutes. Massage services are available at comfortable prices, and the docks and main street are within walking distance. Amazing for the price.

At checkout, one of the staff gave me a heat pack because it was cold that day. We couldn't really communicate in the same language, but the gesture made me feel very warm, and it left a strong impression. I stayed in a single room with breakfast included. The room had a balcony, and there were onsen packs in the lobby to use for a bath in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and always smiling. Breakfast was so-so.
