Wakayama Prince Inn Kainan

The room had an older business-hotel feel, but it was clean and comfortable enough. The heating seemed to be on without individual air-conditioning control, which made getting out of the bath quite unpleasant.

The front desk is on the second floor. The first-floor parking lot closes at 9 p.m., and once it does, the elevator between floors one and two can’t be used. That leaves the stairs as the only way up to the front desk.

The staff at reception were very friendly, and although the room was old, it was clean. Since it’s a budget hotel, toiletries aren’t offered in the room. I picked up coffee, tea, tea bags, toothbrushes, and combs at the desk before heading upstairs. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, and a hair dryer were provided in the room. 😁 There’s a great library nearby with a Starbucks inside, and the station is close too. You can also find Chinese restaurants and several shops open early in the morning. The hotel has no restaurant, but there are plenty of good places within walking distance. 🥰🥰

I went to use the dryer, but the previous person hadn’t come back for their clothes. When I asked the front desk to remove them, I was stunned that the staff took each item out and folded it one by one. The user was at fault for leaving their laundry there, so why keep the next person waiting while folding it? They should take everything out first so the next person can load their clothes, then fold the abandoned laundry.
