There aren’t any meals provided, but there are restaurants close by and a Lawson Station where you can pick up breakfast. The host knows very little English, though we got the essential information across, with her daughter helping at one point. It was very clean and comfortable, and the location worked well for us on the Shikoku 88 Temple route in March 2004.

The guesthouse was a bit difficult to locate, but everything else was great ❤️ A large local supermarket right next door made it easy to get dinner. During my pilgrimage I came across this lovely place, where the whole family made me feel welcome. The hostess was an elderly woman, and although she looked different from me, she was incredibly kind. What I remember best is how carefully she tried to explain the bath routine that evening. I couldn’t understand the words, but I could feel her kindness. I’d happily stay here again if I get the chance 👍

The owner was really flexible and helpful about things like keeping luggage and dealing with bicycles, which I appreciated. It’s a comfortable guesthouse with breakfast included, good facilities, and reasonable prices. I’d stay here again when I’m nearby. Hope Grandma stays healthy!

The mother and daughter were so friendly and gave great service. The place was very clean, and there are plenty of convenience stores and supermarkets nearby if you’re walking the Henro.

After leaving, I found a second route back to the inn. From the second Lawson, turn left at the Y-shaped junction toward the drugstore parking lot, then right onto the gravel path to the inn’s parking area. If you’re walking, turn left at the junction and you’ll reach the inn with the piano school in front of you. I came here to ride the whole Mugi Line. It’s an easy, flat walk of about 15 minutes from Awa-Kainan Station, with two Lawson stores along the way. The landlady was friendly and gave me a quick explanation. The room was clean, the futon was fluffy, and it felt like good value. Booking and paying through a travel agency was convenient too. The bathroom and sink looked new and clean. I was told I could choose either one bath or unlimited showers. There were towels and bath towels, and I only noticed the tissue paper just before leaving. (・・;) I hadn’t spotted its unusual vertical design at first.
