The way the staff treated our children made our family feel especially welcome. Everyone was kind, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. We also loved the beautiful view and found the onsen wonderfully refreshing and relaxing. Motoyu Ryuusenkaku gave us a lovely traditional onsen experience, and I’d recommend it to families visiting Arima Onsen.

The overall stay felt lacklustre for the price, even though the service was great. The onsen itself is tired and could use an upgrade. At checkout, we were charged a surcharge that I thought should have been included already. Breakfast was okay, but the cafés didn’t open until 11, so we could only eat at the onsen. Not great value.

The meals were a real highlight, delicious and beautifully prepared, and everyone at Ryuusenkaku was so welcoming to our children. The staff were attentive and always smiling, which helped us feel at home while travelling far from home. Motoyu Ryuusenkaku was peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained, with stunning views. Having a private onsen made the stay especially memorable. We left with happy memories and would love to return.

The views were absolutely stunning. We had a garden-view room, though it really should be described as a mountain view. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the complimentary shuttle is especially handy when arriving by train. The onsen pools were high quality, with clear explanations in English. Great amenities, too. I’d recommend it to families looking for a traditional Japanese stay.
