Hotel Aisis Kakegawa

The morning buffet was really good, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby, including izakaya and restaurants within a three-minute walk. Lawson is close too. It's just a short walk from the station, with the bus stop and taxi stand nearby, and the streets are very quiet at night. The main drawback is parking. There's no free parking, and the nearest lot allocated for hotel guests is about a five-minute walk away. Other coin parking lots are available nearby. Recommended if you want a convenient base near kakegawa station.

There's no parking at the hotel, so you'll need to use a nearby lot.

This was a handy base for my business trip to Kakegawa, thanks to the station being close and lots of nearby restaurants. I was lucky to get a room with a view of Kakegawa Castle, which took away a lot of my work fatigue. The view depends on luck, but it's a special pleasure this hotel can offer. The complimentary breakfast was much appreciated and gave me a good start to the morning. As you'd expect from the reliable BBH Group, the hotel strikes a great balance between location, service, and views.

For around 6000 yen on the eve of a public holiday, I thought this was quite affordable. Breakfast buffet is included, though the selection is limited, and soft drinks are available in the evening. The single room was clean and well kept, with a roomy 160cm bed that made it comfortable. The downsides were the noise from nearby train tracks and being able to hear some bathroom sounds from the next room.
