For us, this was a great budget-friendly stay that still covered what we needed. The room was small but comfortable enough. At check-in, the staff member was polite and friendly, and explained everything we might need or want to know. There's also a happy hour from 6pm to 8pm with free curry rice and drinks, including juice or beer.

I stayed in a semi-double room in November 2025. The bed was spacious, though that made it awkward to work on a computer. The hotel is right outside the Shinkansen ticket gate at Kakegawa South Exit, but you'll want an umbrella in rainy weather. Parking is free at the nearby Kakegawa Grand Hotel parking lot. You can't get satellite reception, but YouTube is available. Breakfast requires a reservation, and curry is served free. Happy hour runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, when I had a free draft beer. Toothbrushes and other amenities are at the front desk, and the loungewear is a gown. The station is quiet when Shinkansen trains arrive and leave, though you can feel the vibrations when Nozomi and Hikari trains pass. I liked that touch.

The breakfast curry is free and incredibly tasty, and the value plan and convenient location are great too. Happy hour from 6pm to 8pm is a nice perk. The customer service was attentive and excellent.
