Just 3-4 minutes from Kamakura station, this place is in a perfect spot. It's next to the Enoden railway, and you can hear the trains, but they didn't bother me or my infant, who slept in the room facing the railway. The view was aesthetically lovely. The place is spacious, clean, and organized. It's on the first floor, reached by stairs, with no lift, but that didn't spoil our stay. The owner sent clear check-in instructions. I'm grateful we stayed here, and hope we can come back when we're in Kamakura again.

We found this apartment at the last minute on booking.com after changing our travel plans. The hosts kindly accommodated us for one night. I wish we'd had time to use the kitchen, which was well stocked, as was the rest of the simply furnished apartment. It had all the necessities. The building is old, but the interior is clean and feels quite new. It's very close to the train station and many shops. The back room looks onto the tracks, but it was fine with the windows closed and could be fun for train spotters. It's on the second floor with stairs only. I carried the bags for my older travel companions, and it was manageable. I was glad we weren't on a higher floor.

A nice place for a family, with enough space and facilities to use, though we could have used a scrub sponge and kitchen towel. It's close to the station, food shops, a supermarket, and the local sights.

It was spacious, and I found the sound of the trains pleasant. I would have liked towels in the kitchen and washroom too. The air conditioner makes the room dry, so I'd stay again if they had an oil heater or humidifier.
