The location worked very well for me: Kamakura Station’s West Gate is close by, and the beach is around 1.1 km away. I ran along the attractive shore in the morning and had no complaints about getting around. The hotel looks handsome from outside and seems popular with Japanese travelers, many of whom stay for dinner and wine. Service was fair, with towels, water, tea bags, and drip coffee provided; I liked the coffee and tea. My room was humid, though, and the toilet didn’t deal with smells well because the sewage setup seemed inadequate. The shower looked like Kohler but wasn’t in great shape, and its pressure was moderate, sometimes weak. I also wondered about the fridge’s cardboard support, which looked as if it had been left in direct sun and seemed poorly thought out. I’m not sure how that will affect the furniture over time.
