I spent a relaxing winter stay here on my own in 2026. It felt warm and quiet, like being at my grandparents' house in the countryside, though I was a little confused finding the place at first. I booked by phone at the last minute, and the reservation was made quickly. From the port, it's about a five-minute walk to the left. There are steps and a ramp at the entrance, so anyone with weak legs may need to take care. The inn faces the ocean, with lovely views. Sunrise and sunset can be beautiful, depending on the season. There's no front desk when you enter, so call out "Excuse me!" and someone from the back will show you to your room. Mine was upstairs on the second floor. It had a balcony, but it connects to the next room, so keep the curtains and sliding doors shut if privacy matters to you. The room had the basics, a TV, teapot, electric kettle, and air conditioning, but no refrigerator. I wasn't given a key for going outside, though I could have asked for one. The room locked from the inside, and I took my valuables with me when I went out. The toilet and bath are shared. The shower is in the main building, but I could fill the bath in the attached annex, a house next door, and use that instead. Meals were brought to my room at the time I requested. There was plenty of seafood and mountain produce, and I was very full. The Yushima daikon radish was especially good, sweet and soft. It cost about 15,000 yen per person for one night with two meals. Given the location in Yushima and the generous food, I thought the price was reasonable. I imagine there may be bugs in summer. This might not suit people who need a lot of privacy or are extremely shy. I still really liked this warm, relaxing place where I could take it easy and do as I pleased.
