Shiosai Resort Kamogawa

I wasn’t sure about staying away from Kamogawa station, where I usually stay within walking distance, since I’d booked online without knowing how far away the hotel was. But I caught a bus for 280 yen from the stop opposite the police station, and it took 16 minutes to reach a stop right by the hotel. I’m glad I gave it a try, because hiring a bicycle gave me so much freedom. I found lots of new places I’d only seen from the train, and cycling to Kamogawa was a delight. The views from my window were stunning, and the walks were inspiring. The facilities were great, and the onsen was wonderful. There’s also a small private hot spring with ocean views, which felt luxurious. The staff were fantastic and went out of their way to help with things like bike hire and washing. There are two washing machines but no dryer. Since I travel light, I needed to wash everything, so I found a laundrette. I also went to a local dry cleaner, who did an amazing job, packing and ironing everything individually. Breakfast was a feast, with a special breakfast every other day and food that just kept coming. The communal lounge has free tea and coffee, cakes from 3 to 6 pm, vending machines, massage chairs, and a shop selling easy-to-prepare food and souvenirs. I had an amazing stay in a clean, comfortable room. The service was exceptional, and I really want to praise the staff for their professionalism and attentiveness. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
