We could walk to Kanazawa’s main sights easily from this traditional machiya right in the center. Inside, everything was clean, carefully looked after, and thoughtfully set up. It made for a memorable stay, and we left wishing we could have stayed longer.

Having two bathrooms made things especially convenient, and the place was spotless from the start. Check-in was easy and welcoming. Kurohoro Machiya brings together traditional Japanese architecture with modern comforts, including underfloor heating and a well-equipped kitchen. The tatami rooms, shoji screens, and quiet tsuboniwa garden gave it an authentic feel. It’s also well placed for exploring Kanazawa, with Omicho Market and the Higashi Chaya District just a short walk away. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The two bathrooms were a real help for our two families, since getting ready was much less stressful. Parking beside the house was convenient and only cost a small fee. We also found the location ideal for reaching everything we wanted to see. The check-in staff were warm and friendly, and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. I’d gladly recommend this place.
