HOTEL MYSTAYS Kanazawa Katamachi

The room was warm, clean, and good, and the receptionist could speak English. There are convenience stores all around, including Sevel, family mart, and lawson, whether you're heading out or coming back. Kanazawa Castle and the garden are among the nearby places to visit. I'd stay here again on another trip to Kanazawa.

We found the rooms comfortable and very well equipped, and had an extremely comfortable stay. The location is central and the price is good, so I'd highly recommend it.

The rooms are a good size and great value for the money. We'd recommend the hotel to friends visiting Kanazawa. At the front desk, one gentleman spoke English and Chinese and was very, very helpful.

My parents and I checked in on separate days, and both times the process took nearly half an hour, even though I could communicate fluently in Japanese. The service felt completely lacking, and the staff were extremely inefficient. Once we got to the room, the air conditioner was unbearably loud. They offered no fix or room change, only saying “sumimasen.” I don't understand how a country like Japan, known internationally for its service standards, could have a hotel this arrogant. It felt as if they'd hired people with no education at all.
