Tokyu Stay Kanazawa

We’d originally booked three nights, but the room was so comfortable that we added two more. It was extremely clean, and I could tell the housekeeping staff put a lot of care into their work. I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world, and this one holds its own against a five-star hotel. Having a washing machine in the room was very convenient, and I think the hotel offers excellent value for money. All the staff were friendly. I’d definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

The location was central and convenient, and the reception staff were lovely and gave great service. The in-room washing machine is high quality and a real perk if you need it. The room felt outdated and uncomfortable, and neither the bed nor pillows were good quality. There was a smell of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. Cleanliness was disappointing too, with dust and a couple of stains on the bed sheets.

The in-suite laundry was handy for a longer stay, and the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We stayed six nights across two separate visits, and they kept our luggage overnight and arranged for us to have the same room when we returned. The hotel is about a 5-6 minute walk from omicho market, with a shrine just two minutes away on foot. You can also walk to the samurai castle and kenroku garden in about 15 minutes.

We could walk to all the major tourist spots, so we never needed the bus. The location is hard to beat, with lots of great restaurants within a five-minute walk and a tourist info centre just a few doors away. The staff there were so friendly too. We loved our four-night stay. Our residential double room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The price was great. I’d highly recommend it and would stay again.
