We were three families travelling together, and the house was very clean and lovely, with spacious rooms. The sauna didn’t work well because of design problems: your face gets extremely hot while your feet stay really cold. It would be perfect with parking next door. Carrying luggage to and from the public parking area was very difficult.

The sauna was useful after a long day, though it took a few tries to get the heating process right and make the temperature even throughout. Once we figured it out, it was fine. Tokisora Machiya was clean and spacious, and the location was excellent, close to Omicho Market, the castle, gardens, and convenience stores. We had a great stay and will come back when we visit Kanazawa again.

We especially enjoyed having a sauna after long days sightseeing in the snow. Despite the sub-zero weather, the house felt cozy, and it was immaculately clean and tidy. Check-in went very smoothly too. Tokisora Machiya sits on a lovely quiet cul-de-sac between the castle gardens and Omicho market. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The building was clean, stylishly designed, and comfortable, and I found it much more fulfilling and relaxing than a hotel. It was easy to reach the tourist spots. Staff were available around the clock and came quickly if I needed anything, which was reassuring. Check-in and check-out were simple and smooth. I heard there are affiliated places to stay in Kyoto and Hida Takayama, and I’d like to use them again.

We were six men staying there. The location was ideal for sightseeing, close to both the station and the market. It was February and there was a lot of snow, but the comfortable beds and futons, along with the heated floors, made for a pleasant stay. We were able to use the projector too. The sauna took a while to warm up, but we still enjoyed it.
