I chose this guest house after ryokans in the area wouldn't accept my booking because I was traveling alone. I stayed at the end of March 2016, and would book it again if I return to Yuwaku. The manager was friendly and spoke English very well, so there was no need to rely on Google Translate. The family room was spacious and clean, although a few small insects were crawling around. Since it's a traditional Japanese house in the countryside, that's to be expected. The guest house gave me two onsen tickets, and I used them for two visits. Towels and body wash or shampoo can be borrowed if you don't have your own. Breakfast is available from the manager for an extra charge, and the ground floor is a bar where you can have a drink at night. A nice place to stay in Yuwaku.

The owner was great and even walked me to a nearby restaurant to help me order dinner. The guest house itself was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast cost a little extra in the morning, and was well worth it. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

The host is one of a kind. We listened to his jazz and punk records, then went to an onsen together. Absolutely worth the money.
