Tmark City Hotel Kanazawa

We stayed three nights in Kanazawa, and the hotel was clean and perfectly located, with the bus station right outside the entrance. The staff were friendly and always helpful. A big thank you to Kaoru Tara, who was always smiling and helped us book a restaurant and organize our Kanazawa tour.

THIS IS A FULLY SMOKING HOTEL! We arrived late, checked out an hour and a half later, and found a hotel down the street instead. Cigarette smoke had soaked into everything: the bedding, furniture, linens, and towels. The area also didn't feel family friendly at night.

For what you pay, you get an incredible amount. This was the best hotel we stayed at in all of Japan. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was big, the staff were helpful, and the neighborhood was great. It's not near the train station, but you can get around by bus. Really good job!

The bed was extremely comfortable, the room looked stylish, and the air conditioning worked really well. They also let us leave our bags while we enjoyed the day, then gave us check-in an hour early. We could walk to a lot of the main attractions and didn't use public transport during our three days. The only downside was that the window couldn't be opened, but the powerful air conditioning was fine.
