Hotel Global View Koriyama

For its price range, this didn't feel as dated as some Japanese business hotels. The room was small, but laid out efficiently.

Breakfast was delicious, though it only runs until 9:00. The bathhouse was perfect around 23:00, highly recommend it. I'm not sure if it was just my room, but the air conditioner was noisy and the airflow kept changing. With it on, the room got too cold; with it off, it was hot. I'd like to switch rooms next time I stay.

I book this place often for work in Koriyama. It's close to the train station and several restaurants, and the inside is very clean and recently renovated. The rooms are small but clean, with everything needed. There's a very nice onsen too. Staff are courteous and quick at check-in and check-out.

I checked in on the night of June 12, left my luggage in the room, and went out to dinner. When I got back, the only elevator was out of service. Staff couldn't say when it would be working again and told me to take the stairs to the ninth floor. They didn't apologize and said there was no service elevator guests could use temporarily. I find it hard to believe the building had no service elevator. There wasn't an apology when I checked out the next morning either. Management could at least have left a note in each room. Don't stay here. Management and staff didn't know how to handle the situation. They should all be fired and professional managers brought in.
