This place is so cozy and lovely, I really love it!! 🥰

Inside, it was much more modern than the exterior suggests, and we could relax on the sofa. The second-floor bedroom was a beautiful traditional Japanese-style room, which got me excited. We were there with friends the day before touring Karatsu City, as part of a four-day, three-night trip around Saga. The owner sent a PIN ahead of time, which we entered in the key box to get the key. It was late December and only 5°C that day. The owner had already turned on the heater without us asking, which helped a lot. If you’re cold, lowering the partition helps keep the heat in. The toilet had a washlet, and the bathroom shower had strong pressure. Both were clean and easy to use. There was a monitor above the sofa for streaming services like YouTube. When we tried YouTube, though, we could log into the owner’s personal account. I’d recommend unlinking the account to protect their personal information. (>ᴗ

We went out for dinner at a nearby restaurant and enjoyed Yobuko and Saga food 🦑 with drinks 🍶, maybe a little too much. The next day, we took a stroll through the nearby Yobuko Morning Market before checkout. The facilities were excellent, and it seemed like a relaxing place for three generations of a family to enjoy time together. My brother, his wife, and I visited for the weekend. The inn is a renovated old house on the cobbled streets of Yobuko Port Town, and both the place and its setting have a nostalgic feel. The warm lighting, antiques, old-style furnishings, and traditional Japanese home charm made for a lovely space. It made us want to come back.

The inside has been renovated, so the old house feels clean and comfortable. There’s a kitchen, and after eating out we picked up snacks at the supermarket and enjoyed them back in our room. A wonderful inn I’d like to visit again.
