Queendom Karatsu Hotel

We had a good two-night stay. The hotel seems fairly new and was spotless throughout. The room was small but had everything we needed, and the bed was comfortable. Check-in was quick and friendly, and there was even a welcome gift. The location is the one small drawback. It's not far from the city center, but it's tucked away with very little around. The nearest option is a 7eleven. At under 30€, I think it's good value.

I stayed here for a business trip. The bed was spacious, and the bathroom was small but adequate. There's no supermarket or much else nearby, just the Family Mart next door, so that's the only option. What bothered me most was how thin the walls are. Everyday sounds came through constantly, all that banging, banging. It was pretty painful to listen to. Once I was asleep it was fine, but hearing things all the time was still tough.

I was here on a business trip. The room was a comfortable size, not too large or cramped. Amenities like toothbrushes and body sponges were available at reception. There are two coin laundry machines down a narrow alley beside the reception building. Washing costs ¥300, and drying is ¥200 for 30 minutes. The welcome drink was alcoholic, but only a small sample. There's a Family Mart on the premises, and reception gives a ¥500 gift certificate for one day. You can buy alcohol and tobacco there, but the certificate only works at the on-site Family Mart! The hotel is new, and being able to watch Netflix and YouTubers is a nice option for a longer stay. The bathroom was quite cramped. An elementary school student in the lower grades could just about soak in the tub, but even for a shower it would definitely be too tight for a larger person. The hot water temperature and pressure were excellent. The hotel follows environmentally friendly practices (SDGs), so rooms are cleaned every two to three days.

This became my best trip ever, and I want to thank everyone I met. The staff were incredibly attentive, and reception happily answered my questions about the hotel and where to eat. The rooms were clean, and the welcome drink was a thoughtful touch. Places to visit, including Yobuko, Karatsu Castle, and Rainbow Pine Grove, were easy to get to.
