The front desk handled things well, and the hotel is close to the bus center, with F-mart and Seijo-Ishii nearby. The vending machines inside aren't expensive, either. Rooms are on the small side, but clean and practical. Breakfast seemed quite good, and I regretted skipping it on my first morning. After visiting Karatsu, I found buses more convenient than trains for getting around. I took the train from Fukuoka, then used the bus on the way back.

The place was clean, but breakfast didn't offer much choice. There are washing machines, though no laundry service where you can leave clothes and collect them a few days later. That felt like a downside, especially for someone working away from home who isn't local, since getting clothes cleaned isn't easy.

I chose this hotel as a stop before heading to Yobuko the next day. Reconstruction work was going on, so the view was affected, but the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. I slept really well. Breakfast is included for everyone, though the choices are limited to bread, rice, and drinks, which was a little disappointing. Karatsu Dai-ichi Hotel is definitely the best option in town, and I'd recommend staying here if you're visiting Karatsu. There aren't many other hotel choices.

The two-bed room was spacious and clean, with a fresh-looking interior. Booking online got me an okay price. It's close to the railway and some nice shopping areas. I haven't tried breakfast, but the hotel seemed pretty good overall.

The location made this stay especially good, with Karatsu JR station, Karatsu Castle, City hall, and convenience stores all nearby. My room was clean, the staff were nice, and the price felt worthwhile. I especially loved the delicious breakfast. One of the best hotels I've stayed in, and I'll definitely come back if I visit Karatsu again :)
