Oze Shinkoso

Wi-Fi is available since the signal is poor, and the meals are generous and delicious. The rooms are a little old, but the excellent service makes up for it. The staff's warm hospitality made me feel welcome. It seems like a great place for summer training camps or for winter skiing and snowboarding.

The owner was kind and cool, and we had a great time. My family and I stayed while trekking in Oze, and it was even more comfortable than the reviews had led us to expect. Everything was very clean, from the entrance to the bathroom, which became my favorite spot. The portions were generous and healthy, and everything tasted delicious, so we took our time enjoying each dish. We'll definitely stay here again next time we go trekking in Oze in summer. 😄

The staff were kind and friendly, and I was more than satisfied with the price. The coffee and donut service beside the front desk was a nice touch. There were lots of dishes, all freshly made, and the tempura was fried fresh and served to everyone. I was surprised breakfast was a buffet. There weren't loads of choices, but our whole group was happy, including the children and older people who all had different preferences. The shuttle was a powerful Hiace van, and the bath was a jacuzzi. The futons were fluffy and the room comfortable, with towels, bath towels, and toothbrush sets provided. I stayed here for the second time during snow season, near Oze Iwakura, and it was a great stay. I can see why people come back. I did make a wrong turn at the hotel entrance. I crossed the pedestrian crossing and turned at a spot that looked like a public restroom. I stayed in the new building, where the flooring seemed a little thin, though it wasn't a big problem for me.

They can accommodate summer training camps and long stays if you ask. In winter, there's a nearby ski resort for skiing and snowboarding, and it's easy to get to Oze. The shuttle bus is very convenient. The entrance can be a little hard to spot, so watch out you don't drive past it (^o^).
