The lake gives you a lovely, quiet spot to unwind, and getting there by bus from Kobe is easy enough. This family-run place feels like stepping into an old Japan guidebook, with a real vintage countryside atmosphere. Great value if you want a break from the city.

The annex was just as lovely as the main building, even though this was my first time staying there. I first came during the COVID-19 pandemic, and somehow it’s become an annual stay with friends for the past five years. The building has an old-fashioned feel, but it’s spotless and the service is impeccable. The food and the lovely landlady’s thoughtfulness are both wonderful. I’m coming twice next year. Thank you so much!

I booked a room-only stay while traveling. The room is a little dated, but it’s nicely kept. The lake view in the morning was partly obscured by foggy window glass, though it was still pretty good. The road there is dark, and I missed the turn once, so it can be tricky to find. They handled the payment overnight when I asked to check out early. Thanks for sorting that out.

The view out the window was amazing, and the room itself was clean and roomy. The food was incredibly good too. It’s a very child-friendly inn, and I’d love to come back.
