We all looked forward to the meals each day. The flavors and presentation were at a high-end restaurant level, so I’d absolutely include meals when staying here. My wife, parents, and I had a fantastic time at Iwane Sanso. The outdoor onsen was one of the nicest I’ve experienced in Japan: beautiful, clean, and peaceful, especially at night. The facilities are newer than similar places in the area and are lovingly maintained. Ogawayama is only a five-minute drive along a local road.

The local people made us feel so welcome, and the atmosphere and food made the place feel extra special. We came to climb at Ogawayama, about a 30-minute walk away, and it was more than worth staying here. Everyone was incredibly friendly.
