The rooms were clean, the heater worked well, and there were plenty of amenities. They even gave me a frozen meal I could heat in the microwave. It's a very basic hotel, and the rooms are made from containers, but I was still comfortable. The staff were really friendly, it was good value, and there are lots of onsens nearby. The only drawback is that it's a long way from Kumamoto. I'd recommend it.

It's handy if you're traveling by motorcycle, but the buildings along the road are inconvenient because there's no parking directly in front. The ads make it seem like you can park outside your room, but that doesn't apply to every room. If that's what's being promoted, the rooms in those roadside buildings should cost a little less.

It's a distinctive container hotel, with clean, quiet rooms at affordable prices. The location is remote, though, with no convenience stores or restaurants nearby. If you don't mind being far from things, it's a worthwhile stay.

I was happy with the clean facilities, easy parking, and reasonable room price. This was my first time staying in a container house hotel, and I plan to use Hotel R9 often from now on. I hope Korea gets more affordable hotels like this too. The free frozen rice was great as well! 😊 🙏
