Hotel Shichijo Onsen Dome

My family stayed one night on the 18,000 yen package, which included a cottage with an onsen bathroom and dinner. The staff and service were very good, and everyone was helpful.

This onsen is quite nice, and the building looks neat, almost like a castle. The downside is that it’s usually really busy since it’s so popular.

The staff are nice, but the other customers have the worst manners and quality in Kumamoto. There are so many people even during the day, yet the changing room needs more benches and is too small. The wash area is cramped for the number of customers, and the changing room isn’t cleaned properly. The first time I used the place, I was resting on a bench when a regular told me to move and even called me ugly. Some regulars behave badly, so staff should make rounds from time to time and keep an eye on things. I’d advise people not to use the place. I’ll never go back.
