Okura Akademia Park Hotel

We arrived around 7:30 in the evening, and the whole check-in took just a minute or two. The bellboy helped with our bags when we arrived, then brought them up to the room after we parked. The room had plenty of space, and the bedside controls for the lights were handy. The shower had strong pressure and the soaps were really good. We had a wonderful night and would gladly stay again if we’re in the area.

We had a good stay over Golden Week and used the hotel as a base for Mother Farm and SeaWorld. It felt luxurious, and the staff were great. The lobby is showing its age, though it was clean, and the exterior, especially around the parking area, could use some upkeep. The pool was a disappointment because it belongs to a community sports club, so you have to pay separately. Even so, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to families.

A lovely place among the trees, with a large grounds and generously sized rooms. Some of the facilities feel worn, but everything was very clean. I hope they update the televisions next. Getting here is a little tricky by bus, so having your own car or a rental is best. It’s a nice option when visiting the Kisarazu area, including the outlets and Aeon mall.

This is a large, long-running hotel on a hill. The design and condition show its age, but for a four-star property I was satisfied, even though I’d expected more from the Okura name. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, with a lovely view over the park. One detail that could use attention is the board-style room curtain. It isn’t fabric, and when it’s closed the surface doesn’t look very nice. There’s a Family Mart about a ten-minute walk away, down and then back up the hill.
