We could hear a child running in the nearby room. The staff understood the problem and kindly moved us to the floor above. Dinner was gorgeous, way beyond what we expected.

We’ve stayed twice, and each visit was better than the one before. We’ve also had several meals there during our many trips to the Kita Ibaraki area. It’s five-star across the board, with exquisite rooms, a small deck and private hot tub, and very comfortable futon mattresses. The private hot spring baths overlook the ocean and are well maintained. I recommend reserving one to soak under the stars. You get a key and match the Kanji symbol on it to the symbol on the door. The staff speak English very well and are there in a second. One of our most memorable stays.

We celebrated my father’s 77th birthday in a private room, where we could take our time without worrying about other diners. Even before we went in, the restaurant’s charming atmosphere felt right for a special occasion. The food was carefully made and there was plenty of it. The grilled fish was especially good, and the children loved it. Their menu even had sushi, which delighted our seafood-loving kids. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout. For my father’s birthday, they made a lovely crane decoration that touched the whole family, and they kindly took commemorative photos too. It made for a really nice memory. I’d recommend this calm, relaxed restaurant for a celebration or family gathering. I’d like to come back for another important anniversary.
