The beds were really comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The double room felt a bit too small for two people with ski gear, especially 2 x ski bags. The hotel is right across from JR station, and there’s a free bus to Geto Kogen about a 40mtr walk away. Lawson is 40mtrs from the hotel, and 7-11 is around a five-minute walk. Breakfast was really good. There aren’t many dinner options nearby, but crossing under the railway tunnel gives you more choices, though they’re not easy to spot.

A typical business hotel, with a small, clean room. Parking is free, but the lot may be full if you arrive later in the evening. In that case, you can use a nearby car park and the hotel will cover the fee. There’s a Lawson and a laundry mart close by.

At ¥10,000 for one night in a double room, this seemed like very good value. The room was compact and clean, with everything I needed and more, and breakfast was a varied buffet. Staff helped arrange a restaurant booking. It’s very convenient, just 50m from the train station and 50m from the bus to Geto kogen. The Geto Kogen bus leaves from the same side of the station as the hotel.

We stayed with 3 kids and had a pleasant time. The hotel staff were friendly and really helpful. It’s just across from the kitakami train station, with a lawson convenient store behind the hotel. You can also do your own laundry there.

If zero were an option, that’s what I’d give. “Great” hotel.
