Hotel Reference Kokuraekimae

Booked directly for a good price. The room was nice, and the location worked really well.

For a love hotel, the room was roomy and well priced. I was also surprised by how good the view was from the stairwell windows.

The fried horse mackerel rice burger was a great choice. It came freshly fried and crisp, with salad, tasty miso soup, and one drink from a choice of six. There are six meal options, ordered at the cashier by giving your room number. I chose the burger based on other reviews and was completely satisfied. The breakfast is included, and it was much better than I expected from a free meal. You can fill out a form at the restaurant entrance the day before if you want to take it away. The hotel is close to the station and seemed almost new. A poster in the elevator marked its first anniversary. It has the necessary facilities in a compact space, and I liked that the bathroom and toilet were separate. Amenities are set out by reception, where you also pick up the bathrobe or pajamas. There were only towels in the room. Checkout was automated and fast, which let me catch an earlier express train. Even with the early bird discount, the price felt like a real bargain for a nearly new hotel near the station with breakfast included. I booked through Yahoo! Travel and will stay here again next time I'm in Kokura. Thanks for the hospitality.

The breakfast set from the café on the hotel's first floor was delicious and filling. It came with either a hot toasted sandwich or a rice sandwich. We stayed two nights, so we tried one of each, and both were good. My parents came with me and are pretty picky, especially about hotel breakfast buffets, so I was surprised they liked it so much. The hotel was new and nicely put together. I liked the coordinated colors in the room, especially the furniture, and being able to choose only the amenities we needed by the front desk. One small thing: the loungewear you can request at reception is a waffle robe style, while I usually wear a pajama top and bottoms. If you're the same, leggings might be useful to bring. In my room, the bottom of the entrance door seemed a bit out of line, and I could see shadows of people walking in the hall. It didn't bother me much since other guests were quiet, but it could be unpleasant if there was a lot of noise. Those are minor points, and I still thought the stay was good, so I left the rating as it is.
