Shohakuen Hotel

Really good!

The food was a highlight of my stay at Shohakuen Hotel, each dish was thoughtfully made and looked as good as it tasted. The hotel was clean, and I noticed the care taken to make the stay comfortable. It has a quiet, elegant feel, and the staff were warm and very polite. I'd like to come back for an anniversary or another important occasion.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Shōhakuen Hotel, and we're so glad we chose it. We live outside the prefecture, so all the help from the staff meant a lot. Even when we made several changes close to the date, they responded quickly and helped make it the happiest day of our lives. The planner, captain, attendant, MC, and banquet staff took care of every detail and made all our wishes happen 😭✨ The venue, the food, and everyone involved were perfect. It's our number one wedding venue, and if you're planning a wedding in Kitakyushu, you absolutely, positively should pick Shōhakuen Hotel! ✨✨✨

We come here several times a year for seminars and get-togethers, and the staff are always friendly and quick to answer questions. When we asked about having a corner bar and serving draft beer, they supplied all the equipment. They were supportive about everything we wanted to do, just like the Dachou Club. The course meal at our gathering was very satisfying, and I'd recommend it to anyone who cares about quality or organizes events. This was my first overnight stay. The hotel is a little old, but well maintained enough that I wasn't uncomfortable. The unit bath is particularly old and small, and could be difficult for a larger person. It's some distance from Kokura Station, but there is a shuttle bus, and being farther away makes it quieter. I highly recommend it.
