Hotel Crown Hills Kitami Annex

The annex has a noticeably older feel than the main building. Wi-Fi was almost unusable in my experience: the signal was weak even by the elevator lobby, and I only got a decent connection on the first floor. Vending machines and ice makers are also only in the main building. The price is reasonable and includes breakfast, a late-night snack, and all the amenities, so it's fine if you don't have specific preferences. But with the small difference in price, the main building makes more sense when you consider the effort of going over for breakfast.

The lobby has manga, free welcome coffee until 7:00 PM, and free ochazuke from 10:00 PM to midnight. Breakfast is a limited buffet, but it includes local B-grade gourmet salt-fried noodles, rice, bread, and tasty curry. Curry rice is available from 6:00 AM, while the full buffet begins at 6:30, handy if you're setting off early. In central Kitami City, the hotel is about a five-minute walk from JR Kitami Station, and four free parking spaces are available for rental car travelers. There's a main building and an annex, but the front desk is only in the main building. Depending on availability, even an annex booking may be assigned a room in the main building on the day. For this class, the rooms are fairly spacious at 14 square meters, as well as bright and clean. A budget friendly place to stay in Kitami City.

The room payment is by card, but check-in has to be done at the main building. That building was a little hard to find, and the door is reversed. Still, the room itself was clean and comfortable, so I'd recommend it.

Kitami City business hotels are reasonably priced in general, and with breakfast buffet included here, the value is even better. You shouldn't expect too much at this price, though I did wonder a little whether I got my money's worth. The staff were all very friendly, and I'd like to stay here again.
