The rooftop onsen was a highlight for me, with natural alkaline water around 35-39°C and a great atmosphere. From the rooms and balconies, you get a decent view over Kitsuki, and the hotel is close to local services and sightseeing spots. Hotel Inasato feels like a good middle option in a town without much high-end lodging. The building is old-fashioned, but the rooms have been renovated, and the price was about 6000¥. The other places I looked at raised concerns for me: a run-down Minshuku with unreliable contact, a questionable 'Hotel' run by a Buddhist cult-like sect, and a Dormitory that wasn't especially economical. For anyone needing a night in Kitsuki, this felt like the sensible choice.

I booked just an overnight stay, with no meals. The hot spring is right in the guest-room bathroom, so I could soak whenever I wanted.

The public bath has a wide panoramic view, and the indoor bath uses natural hot spring water. The interior is renovated and very clean. For sightseeing in Kitsuki, this is the place to stay.

Good setup for a business trip, with roomy, clean rooms and plenty of table space. There are convenience stores nearby, so getting essentials wasn't an issue. Credit cards are accepted, and parking is available.

I stayed here while cycling. There's no marked bike parking, but I could leave my bicycle under a sheltered awning, protected from rain and wind. You can't secure it with a ground lock. A coin laundry and supermarket are right next door, and there are two microwaves by reception. My room had a fridge and water heater. The large public bath uses hot spring water, with a 150 yen bathing tax to pay.
