BeachHouse Geragera

I traveled solo and really enjoyed my stay. Geragera feels like a cozy little beach house right by the water, and the views are beautiful. Getting up early to watch the sunrise was phenomenal. The staff were really nice, and breakfast was delicious. It was peaceful and laid-back, far from noise pollution. There's a Starbucks within walking distance. I'd recommend taking a drink to go and walking along the shore during the quiet hours. I'd love to come back.

I spent two nights here because I wanted to visit awaji island, though I think I should have booked there instead. The hostel isn't terrible, but the room felt very cramped for 10 people. It was winter and there were six of us when I stayed, yet even the trash can was too small. One toilet and one shower didn't feel like enough either. The biggest issue was having nowhere to sit at a table or eat food I'd bought. The nearest konbini or supermarket is a 20-minute walk, and there aren't many restaurants around. In winter the restaurant closes early. I wanted to eat at 7:30 pm, but reception was already closed, and since it was raining I ended up eating outside in the cold. Honestly, it wasn't a good experience. The people were kind, though, and lent me an umbrella when I asked. The view is beautiful. I think summer would be a better time to go.

The bridge and wide stretch of sea made a great view while we had lunch. I really liked the drinks, the atmosphere, and watching people cook BBQ nearby. Thank you ♡

I hosted an event for 30 people upstairs, and the food spread felt very generic and underwhelming for the price. In general, the food costs more than what you get, and it seems you're paying for the setting rather than the quality of the dishes. In summer, I'd rather eat at Suma Beach, where the food is better and prices are more reasonable, or just visit the Starbucks down the street. The location does make this a relaxing place to visit. I can't comment much on staying here since I've heard mixed reviews.
