The restaurant was a highlight for me. I loved the dinner menu, and the breakfast buffet had a good variety, everything was seasoned well, and the view was great. I also really liked the pretty vintage-style decor. The harbour views made the hotel a lovely place to unwind. My room was fairly standard, with beds, a sofa, desk, and wet bathroom. Getting there felt a bit out of the way, and checking in before going back into town could be inconvenient. It's beside a driving school and the port, and the building isn't very tall, so cars, trucks, warehouses, and trains get in the view. I didn't use the spa or sauna, though both are in the building, and massage services are available for a fee. I enjoyed my one-night stay, and all the staff were lovely. The Japanese staff spoke moderate English. I was there with my mum, but it seemed more like a couples retreat, since we saw lots of couples at dinner.

The rooftop view of Kobe was wonderful, and I loved the onsen included with the stay. In Europe, we'd probably call it a sauna or wellness area. I had a great stay at Centurion Hotel & Spa Vintage Kobe. My room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was really good. Nothing to complain about. I'd happily come back.

The public bath was a perfect way to unwind, and the harbour view from the room was nice. There's a family mart next door for small things you might need. It's a handy little hotel if you're arriving in Kobe or heading out. The area is semi-industrial, with trucks outside and a driving school behind the hotel. From an upper-floor room, though, it wasn't noticeable at all.

The breakfast buffet and restaurant view were both lovely, and the onsen was amazing. My stay mixed business with leisure, and I enjoyed it a lot. The service and staff were excellent too. I'd gladly return. The experience gave me a very different, really positive impression of Kobe.

Our package included dinner at the hotel's Italian restaurant. The view was decent, but the food was strange to us. We tried it the first night and skipped it the second. I also felt the hotel staff were very good at making guests uncomfortable. After checking out, we went out for lunch, but our booked car was late, so we waited on the second floor. The area outside the onsen was empty, yet a staff member insisted we leave. Karki was rude and yelled at me as if I were a thief. I hadn't paid over $300 a night for that. Getting to the hotel was a hassle. It's far from the city center, about a ten-minute walk from the station after taking the train, and with luggage you have to cross five crossings. There's a driver training school nearby, and the hotel is beside a noisy highway. Trucks seemed to pass nonstop every day. On the second night, they woke me five times. This was my worst hotel experience in Japan. The service didn't meet a four-star standard, and I definitely wouldn't go back.
