HOTEL Gallery - Adults Only

We brought our pet for one night and were able to relax. The floor was clean, they had pet treats, and the front desk staff were really nice. It’s basically a love hotel, and there was a condom wrapper on the edge of the bed. Otherwise, no complaints. If you’re not local and just follow car navigation, it may be hard to find. We got lost for about five minutes.

The room was quiet and spacious, and we both slept well. I’d read complaints about noise, bugs, and a dirty bathroom, but ours wasn’t dirty and there was only one bit of trash left by a previous guest. The bathroom did feel old-fashioned. We could easily have picked up the trash ourselves, so it wasn’t a big deal. My boyfriend was happy too and said he’d stay again next time in Kobe, and I would as well. I booked the day before our weekend trip and paid just 8,500 yen for two people. Other hotels were so expensive that this felt like a great deal. I’d been nervous after reading the bad reviews, but the staff at the desk were kind. The room had a water dispenser, microwave, and refrigerator, plus bath salts to choose from and Diane shampoo. A couple of things could be improved. The paint on the leather sofa? heater was peeling and getting on my clothes. It was mid-November and the heater made the room hot, so I wish it were possible to switch to air conditioning. Still, it didn’t bother me much. I’d only stayed in unmanned hotels before and felt a little embarrassed dealing with the front desk, but I was comfortable here. Thank you!

I could manage the cramped room, but the smell near the refrigerator made me feel sick even while trying to sleep. It was a strong vomit-like, stomach acid odor, though I couldn’t tell whether it came from the fridge or somewhere around it. Everywhere else was full when I arrived, so I gratefully took the very small room they offered. It was about six tatami mats, with the bed squeezed in, a little space for the fridge at the foot, and the amenities fitted into whatever space was left. Tight, but I only needed somewhere to sleep.

I was exhausted, coming in from Hiroshima in the middle of the night at year end without a reservation. They were full, but still managed to make a room available for me, which I really appreciated. It was the most spacious and luxurious room I’ve ever seen, and the price felt reasonable for its size. I’d book ahead and stay again if I get the chance.
