The room was tight for two people and our two medium-sized suitcases, despite what the description suggested, though the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was dust everywhere, and the air felt so heavy that our noses got stuffy. The breakfast choices were limited and the food was poor, and some of the cutlery wasn’t very clean. The air freshener near reception and breakfast was overpowering and unpleasant. Check-in was straightforward, and the staff were friendly, professional, and easy to talk to.

Most points of interest are within a 10-minute walk, so it worked well for exploring. The room was clean, had what I needed, and gave me space to unpack. Everyone was attentive and helpful.

The room was thoughtfully laid out, with enough space, which is rare for a Japanese 3-star hotel. The bed and pillows were nice, it was quiet, and the staff were attentive. After staying at lots of hotels in Japan, I’d say this 3-star place beats most Japanese 4-stars. It’s centrally located too. We had an excellent stay and will come back.

The port view from my room was really nice, and the room itself was a good size. There are several kombinis nearby, plus the main shopping area.

For the price, it’s a good option close to Sannomiya station, with lots of great places to eat a short walk away. The rooms seemed fairly clean, but moving a table from the wall revealed a lot of dust and trash, so housekeeping may not clean very thoroughly. At the desk, one clerk said his eyesight wasn’t very good and had trouble finding our name on the computer. That wasn’t his fault, but other staff were free and could have stepped in to help.
